At Norbord, we think the use of nails and screws for chipboard flooring is a tad old-fashioned and so do these builders! Instead, we recommend replacing nails and screws with a powerful hybrid polymer adhesive such as our own No-Squeak which, as the name indicates, has been designed specifically to silence floors!

Designed for use with our Caberfloor P5, the UK’s leading chipboard flooring panels, No-Squeak reduces the number of nails or screws needed per board from 17 to just five. These simply hold the board in place while the adhesive cures to form a strong flexible bond.

Provide a brief outline of your company:

We are a small family-run business. My son Adrian is the owner; he does all the designs, client meetings and costings and my wife Barbara is the company secretary. My grandson, Sam and I carry out most of the work, employing local subcontractors when we need them.

We specialise in kitchen and bathroom installations and refits, small building works and general property maintenance. We can take our clients on the journey from initial concept and design through to supply, fitting and commissioning of projects. We always provide a first class service to our clients many of whom are repeat clients and recommendations from satisfied clients we have already.

What did/do you use No-Squeak for?

We used No-Squeak on a large bathroom and en-suite renovation project. To fix all the old floorboards and a new ply top surface.

There has been no movement in the floor and we are extremely happy with the way the product performs.

Would you recommend No Squeak to a friend?

We have and will do again. We regularly recommend No Squeak to our fellow builders and subcontractors.
